One running process. Local when you’re there, available in the browser when you’re not.

Local by default

Your program runs on your machine in a normal PTY.

Browser when needed

Open the same live session from another device.

Host stays in control

Recover local input immediately if the connection drops.

Get started

Download ReTerm.

One small binary, no installer, no dependencies. Download it and wrap your first command.

Install with one command:

curl -fsSL https://reterm.dev/install.sh | sh

Or download the binary directly:

Available for macOS, Linux, and Windows

Control without surprises

The host always has a way back.

Remote control is an explicit state, not a second stream of competing input. If the browser or relay disconnects, input returns to the local terminal and the process keeps running.

Local recovery is immediate.
Double-Escape returns control to the host without waiting for the remote connection.

Security

Remote access with clear boundaries.

Sessions belong to the signed-in user. The relay routes live traffic; it does not become the machine running your tools.

Authenticated access

Your account gates the session list and browser attachment. Users see only their own sessions.

Optional session encryption

Password-protected sessions keep terminal content and metadata encrypted through the relay.

Ephemeral sessions

Sessions exist while the wrapped process is connected. The live registry is not persisted.
